Shop 'til you ... eat

Yesterday, Lil' Sis Panda!!!! and I got up early for our Boxing Day ritual - hitting the stores to take advantage of post-holiday sales!

Our original plan was to leave the 'burbs and to head up to the big city, but we couldn't master the difficult logistics involved. See, I didn't want to drive her back to the parents' house after shopping and I also didn't want to leave all the stuff in my car as we spent the day at the stores.

So instead, we headed to a mall that had many of the same stores we would have hit in the city, but only on a smaller, less glamorous scale.

Once we got to the mall, we realized that it was going to be a crazy day. Hordes of people were already there, snatching up marked-down items and elbowing each other out of the way! The parking lot was nearly full and we were ... gross ... in a mall.

We lethargically made our way through, returned a hat for Panda!!!!Pop, and sort of browsed. Then we gave up and treated ourselves to a huge lunch before returning to the parents' house.
