Sayonara sushi

VALedictorian and I met up last night for a last supper before I shove off across the country. I chose a Japanese restaurant because I was craving sushi, but the restaurant we went to specialized in yakitori.

At first, I confused yakitori with teppanyaki, but enjoyed the chance to get some sushi and some little skewers of meat! We ordered the chef's choice yakitori and were presented with six different skewers. They ranged from garlic pork to mushrooms to a weird whole fish, which was difficult to split.

My friendship with VALedictorian has spanned nearly two decades, so I know this little move won't prevent us from remaining friends. It was just another ordinary dinner before our next date!
