I just finished filing my taxes and I'm pleasantly surprised that I'll actually receive a refund this year! It's been approximately five years since I last received a tax refund, and the only reason I can see for this change is due to my new homeowner status.No matter what the reason, this is the first time I haven't had to send in my tax forms with a check. And this avoided hassle is quite a welcome change of pace!
I look forward to receiving an I.O.U. from the state of California.
