BoomKat and I went to see District 9 last night and I really enjoyed it, despite feeling very tense and nervous throughout the movie. It was a much more violent film than I expected, having been sold on the "apartheid allegory" aspect of the movie more than the "exterminate aliens" part.And even though the main actor made me think of Steve Carrell throughout, he did a great job and I'm hoping for a sequel. Maybe one that doesn't make corporations (and all those who work for them) seem like such evil entities.
