This one time? A couple of months ago? I had had a looooong day with The Infant, and had just made myself a tasty adult beverage. She started in with the crying again, and I muttered (out loud to a house devoid of other adults) "hold on, hold on, I'm coming, just let me put down my cocktail." Pause. Pause. " ... sssaid Britney."
Plus, in the third trimester, it's OK to have a drink now and then; I'd've probably picked something else more delicious to blow my party wad on, but hey, if that's her thang ...
